Hello, My name is Neil Waddell. I am an Account Manager for a major landscape company. I am offering you the opportunity to help a Ernesto Lopez and his young family, who were displaced from their home in Rowlett, Texas in the early hours on Thursday, August 3rd by a fire in their apartment complex. Ernesto works for me as my Production Manager. I received a call shortly after 1:00am from Ernesto informing me that he had just been evacuated because of a fire nearby. Little did he know that the fire was in the neighboring units and that he, his wife and their 1 year old son’s lives were in imminent danger. The firefighters rushed them out of their home with only the clothes on their back. Ernesto and his family were in shock as they watched the fire consume nearby homes. It was not until later that Ernesto found out that the fire reached as close as his next door neighbor’s apartment and the fire department had to flood his home to keep the fire from spreading. Several units collapsed and Ernesto’s unit is in danger of collapsing as well. As a result, this young family was told that they may never be able to retrieve any of their belongings. Just like for any of us, this is a catastrophic loss for Ernesto’s family and they are having to start all over to rebuild their lives from this tragic event. The amazing news is that Ernesto and his entire family are physically unharmed and safe. They have secured temporary housing with a family member. Ernesto is an amazing man with that would give anyone the shirt off his back. It is our turn to help him. All donations will be appreciated no matter the size. All donations go directly to the Lopez Family via LFEBridge. Thank you for helping me support Ernesto and his family.
