On the morning of July 13th, Kenneth was at home in Mississippi when it started flooding from days worth of continued rain. Cynthia was at work 30 minutes away and tried driving home, but was unable to get there due to bridges being closed from flooding. Kenneth attempted to stop the flooding but it was no use, and it ended up running him and their cat out of the house once it got as high as their mattress. Kenneth and Cindy want to thank everyone for their prayers, because upon asking for it, the water started receding. We know the Lord answered our prayers! In going through the home, many of their belongings were unable to be salvaged. The structure itself wasn’t a total loss, but much damage was done, especially to the walls, doors and flooring. Kenneth and Cindy love the Lord and have served as pastors for the past 4 decades. They are the most generous people that would give the clothes on their backs for the person next to them in need. Every dollar helps, but more than anything, please cover them in prayer as they navigate this sudden turn in life. "Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever."
