We are asking for emergency help for Mariah and her three young children, Alice (10), Serenity (8), and Lucian (1) who live in Johnson, Vermont. Early Tuesday morning, July 11, 2024, they were evacuated from their home due to the flash flooding in the region. The waters quickly entered their home, destroyed all their belongings, and submerged Mariah’s vehicle; the only transport she has for her and her three kids. The most important thing is that all four of them are safe, but now they are facing the reality of the situation. These four are left with no roof over their heads, no belongings, and no car for Mariah to get to and from work, or the kids to childcare. Recovery is going to be slow going and expensive and help from the insurance and FEMA is going to take longer than she has time. Immediately Mariah is trying to focus on getting enough money to put a deposit down on a new place and to get another car, priority being the place to live. All donations will be put directly in Mariah’s account and used to get her and her children back on their feet. Any excess donations will cost to get a place to live, and a car will be used to replace items lost in the flood; clothes, food, toiletries, household items, car seats, toys for the kids, etc. Mariah is a hardworking, devoted mother who would do anything for her kids and friends. I ask that, if you can, please donate to help her to get back on her feet. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. I will try to update on here as her situation progresses.
