Hello! My name is Adam Sandoval; I am a sophomore at Valencia High School and a Boy Scout from Troop 228 in Santa Clarita. I am currently working on reaching the Eagle Scout rank. To do that, I must coordinate, plan, fundraise, and execute a service project benefiting the community. In this case, the beneficiary is the LAPD Mounted Platoon. The project will take place at their equestrian facility and will include creating a sandbox to clear thrush out of the horses' hooves, building a wooden platform to help desensitize the horses, welding a damaged gate, repairing bleachers, rewelding detached arena fence reinforcement brackets, and creating a mural of the platoon's crest as well as a listing of officers' names that have served and are serving in the unit. Everyone who pitches in will help get me one step closer to making this project happen. Thank you for your consideration and support!
