Hi, My name is Vivek and I'm fundraising for my bakery. I had my first interaction with the bakery in Auroville. I started as a volunteer in Ganesh bakery where I met Sundaram. And it didn't take long to realize my passion for it. I met Sundaram every day at 5 am in the morning to start the bakery and it was always very delightful to work along as he was slowly paving my way into the art of baking. It began with oiling the trays and a dream of having my own bakery someday sprouted in my heart. That’s how passionate Sundaram is and I felt that passion pouring in me in this journey of baking with him. Since then, I have worked in a few bakeries while traveling and learned the skill. I took the initiative to begin it with just one small step at a time. I believe that this path that I chose is about loving, trusting, and surrendering my will into the universe and I am grateful to everyone who could share my passion in any way (not limited to only monetary) and it could be just about reading my story. My bakery will be committed to providing 100% vegan, cruelty-free food and everything to be sourced locally. I believe that food is the medicine that our body needs and that is one of our biggest goals while we make our treats for the customers. I also want our bakery to be a hub for our community, a place where people can come together, share ideas and emotions, and learn more about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle. I found Goa, India to be the place for me to create this small community with locals to create a support group for each other. Not just limited to baking but also to experience the essence of being a part of the community and being there for each other. I am in need of a kitchen now, to begin with, which costs €400 every month for its rent. This will also include some basic cooking utensils and gas supply. I don’t need all the utensils to begin my baking journey however in the first stage, the most important ones that I need are an oven which costs €150, and a few utensils which are mentioned in the list costing €260. As we all know how difficult it is to sustain as new project, I would need the rent for 3 months to secure the safe pace where my project can grow. So, to initiate the project it is €1200(for 3 month rent)+€150(oven)+ €370(utensils to start) = €1700. By supporting my campaign, you will be helping me to turn my dream into a reality.
