Hi our names our Ishbel and Cece. For the past few weeks, Ishbel’s family lives, homes and villages have been taken away by torrential monsoon floods in the Kullu district of the Himalayas. We don’t feel it is our duty to support just because it’s closely related to home, but because as 1st world citizens we contribute hugely to climate change and they bear the consequences. Ishbel’s cousin and auntie have lost almost all of their land and home, where they have lived for countless generations. They are now being supported in the local temple where they are being given food and water to survive until the monsoon has calmed. When the time comes, they will be allowed back to their local areas with the challenge to rebuild all that’s lost, and that’s what we hope to raise this money for. We will be doing a 120 kilometre hike from the most southern point of the Dolomites to the most northerly point. It will take us 10 days to complete walking around 8 hours a day and camping in a tent. Any donations will be greatly appreciated!
