My name is Etta Parker. I own the Historic Bank Building in downtown Johnson, VT that sustained extensive damage in the recent catastrophic flood event. This building has been standing in our little town since 1830, and today I am happy to call it my home. Nearly 3 feet of flood waters filled the basement this July, destroying 2 furnaces, a hot water tank and a washer and dryer, all of which I recently purchased new. Replacing all of these utilities is essential, particularly with the approaching winter. Additionally, I am seriously concerned about the structural fate of this long-standing and historic building which I am currently the steward of. FEMA has informed me that they will not support me with any of these damages. My community is experiencing immense need right now. I am so grateful for your help at this time. Thank you so much, Etta Parker
