Hi, my name is Susan, and I'm fundraising for medical and living expenses due to debilitating health issues incurred from COVID. I've lost the ability to resume work, and am applying for permanent disability, which could take around five months to begin. With COVID, I have been literally struck down. I developed COVID-induced hypertension with blood pressure around 250/140. I have needed multiple medications to control it. The neuromuscular issues have been intense, and most days, I have lost the ability to walk independently. I've had months of occupational and physical therapy, and now use a walker or cane. I have to stay home on days I'm exceptionally weak. I also have had an adrenal tumor removed during this time. Before COVID, I had worked for years as a social worker, and I loved it. Standing in the gap with at-risk children was everything to me. I was very active too, and could hike for hours in Yosemite, and other places. During this difficult transition, I would appreciate any help at all with medical and daily living expenses, as friends stand in the gap with me. Above all, I would appreciate your prayers.
