We are reaching out to you today in support of De'Anothony Briller (AKA “Dee”), a respected coworker at HPH who works in the dietary department. If you know Dee, you know that he always brings smiles and joy to everyone he encounters. A few days ago, Dee received the news while at work that his two precious children, “Rooster” (age 4) and Niyah (age 22), were involved in a car accident. Niyah was driving her brother to the Helen Hall Library and in a heartbreaking turn of events, their car was struck by a reckless driver, leaving both children with severe injuries. Rooster, the youngest, suffered from bruised ribs and a level 2 concussion. While these injuries are undoubtedly painful and distressing, they are expected to heal with time and care. However, Niyah's injuries are more severe, including broken fingers, a broken wrist, multiple lacerations, and bruising on her shoulder and hips. Her injuries require surgery, adding a financial burden to an already overwhelming situation. After hearing the news at work, a few of us coworkers determined we wanted to help in any way we could and decided to start a Go Fund Me on Dee's behalf. We are hoping this helps to alleviate any financial strain caused by the accident, allowing Dee and his family to focus on healing. It is important to note that Dee did not request our help; a few of us wanted to take on this initiative of setting up this fundraiser because we want to support them in any way we can. Dee has always been a shining example of selflessness, compassion, and resilience. Now, it is our turn to give back to him and his family. Our goal is to bring hope and comfort to their lives. Please join us in supporting Dee and his family by donating to this fundraiser. Share their story with your friends, family, and colleagues, amplifying the reach of our collective support. Together, we can make a difference and uplift the spirits of a deserving family in need. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love. It is greatly appreciated.
