As most of you know Josh was in a very serious accident Monday Morning. He was transported from Brattleboro memorial hospital to Dartmouth so that they could do emergency surgery for the internal bleeding. He ended rupturing his colon in the crash they had to do a colon resection. He’s in alot of pain he’s got a concussion, many scrapes and bruises he’s chipped some teeth . Sliced his tongue open and had to have stitches on his tongue. He has injured his leg and knee and may require another surgery to stabilize the knee on top of breaking the knee he may have torn his meniscus. They say he’s going to be in a wheelchair for 3-6 months. We need to get a ramp built so when it is time for him to come home he can get in the house. My car was totaled in the accident and I have had to be at the hospital. I have no earned time as I just started a new job Anything you can donate will go towards the ramp and anything Josh will need. He’s dealing with all this on top of all his other medical issues. Thank you I’m advance 07/30/2024 #1 Josh is still in the Hospital, it’s been a pretty rough week for him physically and emotionally. They have had a hard time getting the pain under control. He had surgery and they ended up having to do a colon resection he has over 50 staples as they ended up having to open him wider ti get all the internal bleeding under control. He’s got 7-7 stitches on his tongue as he sliced him tongue basically in half . Eating has been hard as his tongue is swollen and he can’t taste anything. He has a leg brace on but he’s learning to transfer from his bed to chair and back . He finally was able to get a shower , (thank god cause , he needed a shower bad ) We are trying to keep the humor going as it’s gotten us this far in his journey. All immunosuppressants have had to be stopped as well as his infusions so that he can heal. So this was a double whammy , we are hoping things stay stable with his autoimmune encephalitis. As far as the accident they totaled my car as there was more damage than the car was worth ( it’s wasn’t even 2 years old yet ) but cars are replaceable and he’s not . We are so blessed that he made it out . I wanted to publicly say thank you for the prayers, positive thoughts and your acts of kindness. The support and love that we have received have been breathtaking and beyond my expectations. We are so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing people within this community ! You have no idea just how grateful we are for each and everyone of you
