Local Family of 6 has been through a great deal of heartbreak and financial strain this year and as close friends we are asking for your help to show them what friends and family can do to change a life. In the last few months the family has dealt with an urgent life saving/changing surgery, a parent being diagnosed as end of life , a traumatic house fire ( while all of them were in the home), another parent then passing away suddenly, and as if that wasn’t all fun enough their home was found to have asbestos so before the house can be repaired there is now additional thousands of dollars of work that has to be done before anything further. Between the cost of what insurance didn’t cover medically, the loss of items and use to their home, and the need for temporary housing, food, etc…this family has depleted all savings. The matriarch of the family is currently working 2 jobs to try to keep them above water, and didn’t want this request to be made for help but I am doing so anyway as everyone needs help from time to time and she is an incredibly kind and warm person who deserves to get back even a portion of the love and support she gives everyone who knows her, especially during their darkest times. I know her, her partner and all their children would be incredibly moved and grateful for anything anyone can help with. We are aware that times are tough, and she would be the first person to say how blessed she still is and that there are others worse off etc…Let’s show her and her family that even the smallest of donations can make a HUGE difference.
