Update from Heather: (7-25) Sorry I haven’t updated in a few days. I’m exhausted. Dan is doing amazing. The difference from Sunday to Monday is unfathomable. He woke up!! He was being suctioned yesterday morning and coughed so hard it dislodged the vent and feeding tubes, so they had to make a very quick decision to extubate him completely to avoid injury. At 4 he was taken back for surgery to have a defibrillator implanted. He has been awake and talking ever since. In true Dan fashion, he woke up begging for a coke. Prayers are being answered. The positive and healing vibes are working. Speach and OT will be in this morning sometime to assess and determine if he can eat and drink. While we are not quite out of the woods from all this mess, we are making progress to being able to get him home and recovering. ❤️❤️. Thank you all for your love and support through all of this. We have the strongest tribe surrounding us with the most love in the world. ❤️❤️ Hi, my name is Kacee, I am a friend of Heather and Dan's. On Wednesday evening, July 12th, Dan suffered cardiac arrest. He was immediately transported to the hospital, where he was placed on a ventilator and placed under sedation to help him rest. We are trying to raise funds for Heather and Dan to cover bills and to also cover medical bills as they start to come in. Dan will be off work for the foreseeable future and Heather has taken off work to be at the hospital with Dan. Right now there is so much uncertainty and we would love to be able to support them and try to take one less worry off of Heather's plate. For those of you that know Dan and heather, you know that they are phenomenal people. They would do just about anything for anyone. We also ask that you please send prayers, good vibes, and love to the Wilson family as they are trying to navigate through this difficult time.
