Please help us rebuild our parking lot!! Post 593 is a very active 503C nonprofit veterans’ organization. Our buildings house the American Legion, The Legion Auxiliary, the Sons of the American Legion, the District 28 Riders, and the Prunedale Senior Center. Our service driven members take a lot of pride in our facility, and it is meticulously maintained. Our parking lot, however, has issues. The entryway was poorly designed, which results in oversized vehicles getting hung up resulting in a blocked parking area until a tow truck can come out! The side road is eroding, and the lot itself needs work. We have a big plan, and everyone is involved. Phase 1 – Redesign and install a new entryway. Phase 2 – Replace the Retaining wall supporting the side road. Phase 3 – Replace the sunken Septic Risers. Phase 4 – Repair the side road. Phase 5 – Repair and seal parking area. Phase 6 – Stripes and a completion party. It is an expensive project… Even with our contactors working a deal for us, it is going to be over $100k. The post has pinched its pennies and has dollars to put in. Each of our organizations have done (and are doing more) fundraisers for the project, too. We will keep going, but we need you. Please Help!!
