Hi, my name is Lauren and I am raising money for my beautiful sister Aimee who you can see in the photos (before and after the accident). My sister was moving from Ohio to Colorado trying to better her life and only 2 hours away from her destination she was in a horrific accident. The car lost control, flipped several times throwing her from the vehicle and ended up landing on her in the process, and then set on fire with all of her belongings inside of it. By the grace of God and help from a couple of amazing people that stopped to help pull the car off of her she survived and had to be life flighted to the hospital where she is at the moment. Her injuries are very severe because she suffered many extensive fractures in her cervical vertibrae (C1,C4,C7). The left side of her maxillary bone near her left eye had to be reconstructed, she's under a medically induced coma to maintain her body without movement and try to reduce the swelling around her spine and head, there is a also a drain in her spine to remove pressure from the hematoma, and until the swelling is down and she is able to wake up we will not know the true extent of all of her injuries. But what I do know is that she is going to need all of the help and support she can get because this will be a very long road to recovery for her and anything right now will help out and be greatly appreciated.
