On June 28th, my parent's business, 3oak Handcrafted, suffered a serious fire causing a total loss to their retail gallery. The gallery was 5,000 square feet and sold handcrafted furniture and home goods. The gallery also housed a fully functioning woodshop where people could watch the artisans build custom furniture. The most important thing is that no one was injured. The safety and well being of the 9 dedicated 3oak employees is my parent's top priority. These people are not just co-workers to my parents, they are loved like family to them. A fire is of course never something factored into a plan when taking the risk to open a business, but now this tragic and sudden event is written into their story. Their amazing team and community have jumped in immediately to help pick up the pieces, but many people have continued to ask how they can help support 3oak through this period which has led to the creation of this LFEBridge. They are going from a 5,000 sf building to an 800 sf retail location on a temporary basis while they determine how to move forward. Thankfully, they have a secondary fully operational woodshop they can use to continue fulfilling client orders which is a blessing. The money raised from LFEBridge is to fund the disruption to operations, specifically the ability to sell their products. The ability to maintain cash flow during their peak summer months and replace product, will help protect their employees and local artisans. Protecting the jobs provided by their small business is their number one priority at this time. On behalf of my parents, our family, and 3oak, thank you so very much for anything you can give to support during this time. 3oak Handcrafted would not be the business it is today without the support it has received over the last four years from all of you and from the welcoming and supportive community of Brevard.
