Hi,My name is Zoee and I'm in the 7th grade. As most of you may know, my mother is Valerie Bishop. For her being a single parent, it is quite difficult for me to do exceptional activities out of the norm. I am raising money for a school volunteer and community service trip to Costa Rica in the spring of 2016 with some of my fellow classmates. On this trip, we will be volunteering for community service at an IACR center to go work with a rural public school. This school is a very low socio-economic populated public school. We will be working with 5th and 6th graders in different learning centers. At the school, it will be really appreciative to bring extra school supplies for their needs. While we are working with the students, we'll be teaching them more English and learning how to count to 10; as we play many different learning games.The monies requested will be used for round-trip airfare, airport taxes/fees, transportation to and from activities and the airport, hotel stay for a 6 days, 3 meals per day, community service project, and all extra activities we get the opportunity to venture upon (volcano, museum, coffee farm,zip-line). It is at a time-sensitive manner that a $500 deposit be made as soon as possible. This is because the group can only accomodate a maximum of 25 people. The remainder of the monies balance should be met by February 15th or sooner, because this is when the balance will be due. Every little bit will be greatly appreciated.This fund would mean so much, that I'm not able to explain it with words. Not only getting the opportunity to go out of the country, but knowing that I'm making a major difference in someone's life and making it better means the world to me. I feel that everyone should be treated equal, that's how I was raised and believe it passionately. My job to make sure that I help every person who is in need (stranger or friend). However, I couldn't help a stranger, because I always believe that a stranger is a friend, that I have not had the chance to meet.
