Hi all, My name is Melissa, Missy to family and long-time friends, I am Sherry's little sister. I have set up this Go Fund Me on behalf of Sherry. On July 18th, a shocking tragedy hit our family, my brother-in-law Tony unexpectedly passed away. My sister Sherry was working and received a text message from Tony that the house was hot as the A/C went out. Later that night when my sister returned home she was greeted by a Sherriff and his spotlight. My sister was advised that Tony was with some friends hooking a trailer to the car to go pick up a 'new' A/C unit for the house when he collapsed. CPR was attempted, but he never regained a pulse. To give you a little bit of background, Tony had a major stroke around the age of 41 and has been on disability since. Sherry and Tony moved from Steger Illinois to Alabama almost a decade ago, as the brutal Midwest winters were taking a toll on the nerve damage Tony suffered from the stroke. Since being down south, Tony's health improved dramatically. He became more active, fishing when time permitted, cooking dinner for his lovely wife, and loving on his dogs. Sherry and Tony just recently bought a house on 10 acres of land and have been so excited to spend the rest of their lives together. Sherry and Tony have been together for over 30 years, it's as if their names are said as one...SherryandTony. They have been two peas in a pod for the majority of my life and I cannot think of it being any other way. As a couple, they were the definition of Ride or Die. There was no Tony without Sherry and vice versa, and now my big sister has to live in a new normal and learn what life is without her partner. It shouldn't have to be this way, he was too young. With the sudden loss of her husband, his final expenses, the loss of his income and the recent purchase of their property, I am asking for any donations you can provide. Every little bit helps. Even if it's simply a prayer, we will be forever grateful.
