UPDATE: Thank you so much to everyone for donating. I had top surgery at the end of May 2024 I’m asking for help to fundraise for life changing Top Surgery. There is limited access to this in Perth with long waits and costs. For context I waited over a year to just get a consultation and will still be over 6 months from now until I’m able to get gender affirming surgery (over 2 year process since booking a consult). Getting top surgery has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, a dream 14 year old Zee would’ve loved to even imagine. Gender dysphoria has greatly impacted me from a young age and increased throughout adulthood. I can’t picture my future without having this surgery. It has been a journey to finally be living happily as myself Zee (he/they), taking testosterone has forever changed my life for the better and this next step is necessary to feel comfortable in my own skin. I bind my chest everyday to just get through and feel comfortable, which unfortunately has short term and long term physical and mental health effects. I can’t wait to swim, wear tight clothes, not bind, feel free and comfortable. I’m not one to ask for help often and I feel very vulnerable even writing this. I hope to support others going through the same process in the future. Anything you can contribute means so much! It feels very vulnerable putting this out there, it can be hard to discuss and certain words regarding top surgery make me feel really uncomfortable, please just keep that in mind when talking about this with me or others!
