Yahweh Children Foundation is a local non-profit organization helping 200 orphaned children, vulnerable, rural poor children in Mutai, Eastern Uganda, invent ways to fight child poverty, develop their young talents, and protect children's rights. We work with the community leaders in Mutai to identify children within the villages and parishes. We interview them to establish why they are not in school. Our team is involved in community engagement and is looking at schools that will provide early childhood education as they transition from our orphanage to schools. We listen to the priorities of our children and community and design interventions and tasks that allow our children to thrive. We have profiled schools in three districts in Eastern Uganda - Kamuli, Iganga, and Bugweri, and identified those that align with our mission and have the incentive to enroll our children. Our team profiles the children and selects the beneficiaries based on the information gathered. This year, our goal is to support 500 children. We receive most of our donations from several donors through LFEBridge. The funds received will cover costs the organization cannot fully fund related to rent, coordination, medicines, feeding, clothing, and education. With the help of our generous sponsors, we can continue the mission of supporting 500 by the end of 2024. The challenges of our work and interventions are diverse and complex, but together with our sponsors, we can overcome them. While the volunteers work with our children, our foundation strives to capture these moments on camera and give the sponsors these photographs as a continual memory of their contributions to supporting vulnerable children. Most photographs are available on our Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Our sponsors and financiers can access information through those three social media channels. The support from our fundraiser’s donations means access to education, food, health, income, and dignity for those children who need it most. Our locally-led interventions and the generosity of sponsors will improve livelihoods and access to basic needs and bring hope to our children as we work together with our communities and schools
