I am an educator in Greeley, Colorado, and I feel deeply honored to have had the privilege of teaching Yahir Chairez-Salazar, affectionately known as "Chino." I am seeking your support for this remarkable young man and his family. Chino, an exceptional athlete and brilliant student, recently endured a life-altering car accident, resulting in partial loss of one of his legs. Despite the challenges, Chino's determination and spirit remain unwavering. As a 2024 graduate of Greeley Central High School, he was celebrated for his accomplishments in the classroom, on the football field, on the wrestling mat, and on the track, earning him the Boettcher Scholarship to pursue his dream of becoming an engineer at the Colorado School of Mines. We, as a community, are coming together to raise funds to assist Chino and his family with the financial burdens caused by the accident and medical expenses. Your generous contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant impact on Chino's life, and be a tremendous support to his family. Having had Chino as a student, I can attest to his incredible dedication to both academics and sports. His determination has inspired many, and your support will serve as a beacon of hope on his journey to recovery and educational pursuits. Please share this cause with your network, enabling us to rally around Chino in his time of need. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
