A little under a year ago, I adopted Wrigley from my cousin who was stationed overseas and could not take her. In January she flew to me all the way from Illinois and instantly melted my heart. Since then as you all know, she has become my WORLD. My good friend about 6 months ago advised me that she runs a little funny and may have some dysplasia in her hip. I didn’t notice it at that point and ignored it until about August when she started to limp. The limping not only didn’t go away, but she started to hop and run sideways. I took her into the vet for her normal checkup and they advised we do x-rays but recommended I get on insurance before we diagnose anything. I spent two months researching all of the options and as that was happening, she was getting worse and FAST. She didn’t have the 6 month waiting period that all insurance companies required. Yesterday we went in and did the X-Rays to see how bad she really was... She has severe hip dysplasia and is requiring immediate surgery. They call it degenerative joint disease which is arthritis associated with hip dysplasia. As you all know, this is not something I can financially afford to do at this time of my life but she is my world. I can’t bare to see her continue to hurt. I ask with all of my heart.. Help... Anything helps.. I don’t want her to hurt anymore. In advance, thank you all for your support. <3 Janell
