Hi, my name is Catherine and my 17-year-old brother William Nunes was in a catastrophic car crash on July 11th. Will was on his way home from our Nana's house, which he does daily to give her medicine and spend time with her as she has dementia, when he had a head-on collision with a semi-truck. We were told by witnesses that his car flipped several times before landing and he was then airlifted to the hospital. He has sustained severe broken bones in both arms/hands and both legs/feet and has internal bleeding in his liver and spleen but we are blessed that he survived and is still with us now. He is expected to be in the hospital/ physical rehab for at least 3 months, with him spending his 18th birthday on July 23rd bed bound. Will is such a kind-hearted, loyal and strong person, always willing to help and support his friends and family. Before the accident, Will was working on opening his own woodworking and carpentry shop. With the uncertainty of a full recovery and the large possibility of arthritis and joint pain, that dream may never come to fruition. This fundraiser will go directly toward all the medical costs incurred over the next few months, cover the cost of the accident that the insurance won't, and the lengthy rehabilitation process as Will learns to use his hands and walk again. Any help is greatly appreciated in this hard time for our family. Please keep Will in your thought/prayers during his recovery.
