Wayne is my brother, who suffered many life threatening injuries while doing the same job that he has done for almost 20 years. He has paid hefty for workers comp. Insurance for many years but never thought that he- himself- would have to use it. Unfortunately between his wc coverage & health insurance there will be a gap of about $15,000. This doesn’t include the long recovery process after he leaves the hospital, which is unknown at this time. Wayne has been fighting hard after falling 20-25 ft face first onto stone pavers. The doctors are amazed, as is his family, as to just how tough Wayne really is. Don’t get me wrong- we knew he was tough but his gains are surpassing what the doctors have ever seen but they are keeping us grounded by reminding us that he will still have a long walk to full recovery. Wayne & his family are pretty private but they have done so much to help others through their lives together and have never asked for anything in return. Cristal had to think hard & long about allowing us to set up this go-fund me page but we explained that so many people want to do something for them and we felt this would be the direction to go …. Thanks to everyone who has kept them in your thoughts & prayers . All of the family would like to say how much we appreciate everyone’s respect by not posting possible misinformation. If you are fb friends with Wayne then you should be able to see progress reports as we have tagged Wayne in so he can look back and see all of the love & support that he has received during this very difficult time.
