Hi! My name is Grace Kooiman and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Rita Wario, who was diagnosed with malignant Melanoma in June 2024. The cancer has metastasized throughout the body including her brain, heart, lungs, legs, back, and torso. She may possibly need to undergo knee replacement surgery in the future to remove a lesion in her femur/knee area. She is also undergoing radiation and has recently begun treatment with two BRAF medications since immunotherapy treatment was producing too many side effects. Rita is preparing to leave the hospital after a 10 day stay where 3+ cups of fluid were removed from her heart and half a gallon of fluid was removed from her right lung. Rita and her husband, Hussein, have three children and are reliant that the Lord will supply all their needs. We have been asked by others for a monetary way to donate so we have created this as an opportunity for those who want to support their journey in this way. They will have a long road ahead of them with a lot of bills to pay. Rita has had to put her job on hold while she focuses on battling cancer so if the Lord leads you to donate, it will be used wisely and responsibly.
