Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Ward C2 at Addenbrooks Hospital, the childrens Oncology ward. We recently experienced at first hand the brilliant work the staff here do 24/7, when our daughter was admitted and needed an operation. Whilst we are still waiting for confirmation as to whether or not she will require further treatment, in the 2 weeks that we were on the ward we saw so many children who have had their lives affected with a cancer diagnosis. The staff on the ward are, quite simply, amazing and go out of their way to make each child's journey as stress free as they can. We would like to make this easier for them, by raising much needed funds that they can put to good use, purchasing art and craft equipment, games consoles, gift cards, and anything else that could improve a child's stay on the ward. Some of them are there for months at a time and we want to help to take away some of the stress that they, and their families, experience. The Play Team provide Courage Beads for every child, that document their journey with different glass beads for each element of their treatment, they provide TV's and DVD players, art. crafts, toys, colouring and puzzle books, play rooms for younger and teenage children that need equipment replacing - if you can help us at all we will be forever grateful, every penny we raise can help to make the children's journeys less stressful and frightening - thank you
