The vfw is dedicated to assuring those who have protected our country are protected in return. Oren L Davis post 99 has been helping local veterans in any possible was since it's start in the early 1920s. The VFW Post 99 is the oldest active post in the state of Illinois. We have resided in our current building since 1949 and sadly our current location is not in the greatest of all neighborhoods now. We have struggled for the last few years in maintaining a viable safe place for the veterans to call home. In seeing our membership decline in the recent years due to our location we have secured a new building located in a much more viable area. We are currently in the process of moving to this new building and are in need of help in many ways. Please share and donate if you can. This is the new building that the VFW post 99 will soon call a home if they can generate the money/supplies to renovate it. This building will feature a reception/bingo hall at one end and camouflage bar and grill at the other.
