Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers, I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you today with a heavy heart to share the story of my beloved sister, Valarie, who is bravely fighting Stage 4 ovarian cancer. Many of you have reached out to ask what you can do for them, as they battle this terrible disease. We are asking everyone to consider helping out by making a small donation here on this page. Thankfully, Val was able to get into the Mayo Clinic for the best care possible, but this has created obvious logistical and financial challenges. The Journey So Far: For the past 60 days, my dedicated brother, Dean (James), has been selflessly providing constant care and support to my sister. He hasn’t left her side since they arrived in Rochester, Minnesota, where she is receiving life-saving treatment at the renowned medical center. The daily expenses for treatment, lodging, meals, and transportation are adding up quickly and will continue to do so for the next several months. My sister is an extraordinary woman who has always brought joy and positivity into the lives of those around her. She has touched the hearts of countless individuals with her kindness, compassion, and infectious smile. She’s also always the first one to help others when needed. Diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer, she has faced this life-altering challenge with incredible strength, resilience, and an unwavering determination to conquer the disease. As someone who works in healthcare, I can tell you that the costs associated with battling ovarian cancer are immense and extend far beyond medical bills. Their family has been burdened by the daily expenses of accommodation, meals, transportation, and other incidental costs, which amount to approximately $300 or more per day. Over the past two months, Val and her family have faced overwhelming challenges in every way possible - emotional, mental, etc. I really don’t want them to have to worry financially. Dean (James) is now retired and Val wasn’t working when she got sick. They also have two boys - Dean and Jake. While Dean is now out on his own, Jake just graduated from high school and is still dependent on them. How You Can Help: We humbly request your support in easing the financial burden on their family during this incredibly challenging time. Your generous contributions will directly assist them in covering the escalating expenses incurred by their necessary travel, lodging, and sustenance. By coming together, we can alleviate this financial stress and allow our focus to be solely on Val’s well-being, her treatment, and her path to recovery. Every dollar counts, and any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference. We kindly ask for your support, whether it be through a financial donation or by sharing this campaign within your network. Your solidarity and kindness can help us provide the support and care that Val so desperately needs. Expressing Our Gratitude: We are eternally grateful for the love, prayers, and support we have already received from our community, family, and friends. Your kindness has given us strength and hope during this challenging journey. Together, we can uplift Val and our family, offering them the peace of mind they deserve as they navigate through this difficult battle against cancer. On behalf of our entire family, I extend my deepest gratitude for your consideration and support. Please join us in this fight against ovarian cancer by contributing to our LFEBridge campaign, sharing it widely, and keeping Val in your thoughts and prayers. Let's stand united and provide her with the best chance of overcoming this illness and living a long, healthy life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. With love and gratitude, Robb Pastor
