We are raising money for emergency medical needs on behalf of, Hanna Harbuziuk, a refugee from Ukraine. Hanna, age 42, lives with faith in God, love of family, and hope for a better future in America. All who know her hold her in high esteem. Hanna, Maksym (husband), and their ten children are very fortunate to be alive after their home and farm in eastern Ukraine were destroyed by the Russian military in March of last year. They came to be near us in central Ohio in October as refugees with minimal possessions or money. We are eternally grateful for the many people who helped the family get started in America. Maksym works in construction. His earnings go for immediate living expenses—and so the family has no savings. In mid-June Hanna experienced acute pain in her lower jaw from a severe infection that required emergency surgery to extract all the teeth from her lower jaw. She is unable to chew and can only eat soft foods. Subsequent examinations revealed severe damage to her upper jaw and teeth caused by ongoing infection—meaning that all her upper teeth must soon be extracted. The treatment plan includes the extraction of all teeth, the insertion of implants into both jaws, bone grafts, and full arches of artificial teeth. The first surgical procedure is scheduled in mid-July at a clinic in central Ohio. The treatments are expensive and not covered by their insurance. Some money was raised prior to this reach-out through Go Fund Me. The Go Fund Me goal is only the amount of money we still must raise.. We humbly ask you to help Hanna in her time of need. Hanna and we are sincerely grateful and thankful for any help you can provide.
