Hi, my name is Madalina, however people like to call me Maddie. My life story makes the subject of a book to say the least and I have come so far to be able to share an important part of it with you here. I am a survivor of narcissistic domestic abuse on all levels, violence included, for over a decade, in an Arabic country. I am not Arabic and neither are my children or their father. With the help of a Judge in that country I won full UNCONTESTED custody of my three daughters and we were allowed to relocate to the UK for our safety and welfare. In 2024 we have escaped to the UK, where my daughters are nationals, in order for us to get legal support. We all enjoy very much our new life here. I am a single mom now with not much support in place aside from a few valuable friends we have made along the way. Last year, the father of my daughters and my abuser has taken me back to family courts for child arrangement whilst denying any form of abuse I had suffered for over a decade in that country, in spite of years of evidence I am able to produce. He claims to continue to be living there. For many years my life was a PRISON in that abusive marriage, I felt stuck and unable to take action due to the fear of repercussions of my limited resources and support for victims of domestic abuse. My girls are the reason I am alive today and for making it out of there, sane and safe. I have exhausted all funds remaining from what I have received from the courts in that country, on ongoing court proceedings and legal fees in UK jurisdiction. The settlement agreed under that law was unfair, as it was agreed under duress and without legal representation. I am currently not supported by anyone. Because we had arrived in the UK after Brexit( he deliberately prevented me from getting my rights met by delaying my arrival in the country to, after Brexit), I had lost my European rights to settlement and therefore I now have no rights to public funds and by that I mean no rights to universal credit, nor child benefit. I was looking desperately for legal aid to continue to defend myself and the girls in family courts, however I have not been able to secure any such support. I am technically divorcing my abuser again, in UK jurisdiction this time. The pain and the suffering the girls and I continue to go through is simply unbearable. We live a nightmare from which we want and need to wake up. The level of abuse we all continue to experience is beyond any reason imaginable. My life is in pieces all over again. Every time I manage to put myself back together he ensures he does his best to destroy that stability in us again and again. I cry everyday and I pray for this to end. I need any help anyone can offer me to continue to fight for our rights to a life free of fear, abuse and toxicity. We pray for normality, safety and security. Update: I have filed for a financial order last year, the judge asked him to reply to my application within 3 weeks. That was during first hearing, last February. He has not responded yet. Nor are the Courts. Due to lack of insufficient funds to support ourselves now, as well as his deliberate act to make the transfer of the child support maintenance delayed, I have failed to pay our rent on time and as a result the landlord has given me two months notice on Section 21 to move out of our home. At the moment I can not meet our living expenses as they are. I can not possibly afford to move out with my current situation. This new situation along with my immigration status could potentially render me and my girls to becoming homeless in the UK in the nearest future. In addition, somehow, he has been made aware about me opening this account with LFEBridge and he has already brought this matter onto the attention of the courts in an attempt to potentially held me responsible and accountable for damaging his reputation. The details can go on and on about the damage this man is doing to me and subsequently to his own children. Saying that, the only way to stand up for our lives, rights and future is by continuing to fight and uncover the truth in order for the law to prevail and this way for justice to be made. I would like to thank you to all my friends who have supported me so far and have donated. The money went all in outstanding legal fees and court proceedings which has had to cease in February. I continue to represent myself in court hearings ever since. Thank you very much in the name of my girls.
