Still needed: $1,100.00 to help pay off the Hospital bill of about $1,100.00.PLEASE CONSIDER HELPING me, Susan Cate, with medical expenses from multiple hospitalizations over the last year. I live on a very limited income from SSDI (permanent disability) with one check once a month having to cover all expenses for that month. It’s normally difficult to meet all my financial obligations without these additional medical debts. Unfortunately the significant money owed from the hospitalizations, now has me facing the dilemma of do I buy a few groceries, or go to medical appointments (unrelated to hospitalization issues), or paying medical creditors. Despite applying for charity care, and getting a reduction of total monies owed, I still owe nearly $3,000.00, which is after already paying about $2000.00. I truly hate asking for help, and I know everyone is challenged by the economy (so I hate even more asking for money), but I don’t know what else to do than plead my case to my friends and family. After nearly dying twice two different times over the winter, I’m deeply grateful to be alive, but feel a panicky need to reduce or eliminate these medical financial stressors so being alive feels more of a gift.
