The following is with the blessing of the Iwata Family: With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we share the news of the passing of our beloved Bryce Iwata, who left this world on Monday, June 3rd, 2024, after a courageous and tenacious battle. He was a cherished father, devoted husband, loving son, inspiring coach, and loyal friend. Throughout his arduous journey, Bryce's spirit remained unbroken, his optimism unwavering. He faced each challenge with grace and a smile that could brighten the darkest of days. As Helen Keller so beautifully said, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." Bryce's life was undoubtedly a daring adventure, filled with passion, love, and an unwavering belief in the preciousness of every moment. His family, his rock and his solace, wish to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support they have received from countless family members, friends, and well-wishers during this incredibly trying time. Your kindness has been a beacon of light in their darkest hour. Bryce's memory will forever be etched in our hearts. He was a guiding star, a source of strength, and an inspiration to us all. His laughter, his warmth, and his unwavering spirit will be deeply missed. "What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us." - Helen Keller. Details regarding a celebration of Bryce's extraordinary life will be shared as they become available. In the meantime, we ask that you keep the Iwata family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this profound loss. With love, The Iwata Family (Below was the original message) Dear friends and community members, I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you today with an urgent request for support on behalf of Bryce Iwata and his family. Bryce, a loving husband to Trina and a devoted father to two beautiful daughters, Madison and Taylor, has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. Bryce's medical journey has led him to a crucial turning point. If his cancer responds positively to the upcoming rounds of chemotherapy, his Oncologist will recommend him for a clinical trial at MD Anderson in Texas. The trial involves a HIPEC procedure, which offers hope for his recovery and a chance at a better quality of life. However, as it is a clinical trial, there may be uncertainties regarding insurance coverage. In addition to potential financial challenges, Bryce and his family would also incur significant travel-related expenses to access this specialized treatment. This is where your support can truly make a difference. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will directly help Bryce and his family cover the costs associated with the HIPEC procedure and the related travel expenses. Your generosity can provide them with the peace of mind they desperately need during this difficult time. Every donation, share, and expression of solidarity counts and will have a tremendous impact on the Iwata family's journey toward healing. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can alleviate the burden on Bryce and his loved ones, allowing them to focus on his treatment and recovery. Please consider making a contribution today and sharing this message with others who may be willing to help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, compassion, and support. Let's rally together and provide hope for Bryce Iwata and his family during this challenging time. With gratitude, Bryce's Ohana
