I have battled chronic health issues for 6 years - nearly the entire lifetime of my adopted daughter, Bella. Many years we have had the expenses of co-pays, travel, medications, etc. that often totaled half our income in any given year. I have been everywhere seeking answers, even the National Institute of Health. This year has been rough on fluid retention, making it difficult to breathe and harder on my heart which I have two artificial valves and a pacemaker for. My cardiologist referred me to someone in Nashville in an attempt to find a treatment that will improve my ability to function with day-to-day activities. I was here for over a week and a half with mixed results before suffering from extreme head and spine pain. I then lost feeling in my legs and got surgery for an spinal intradural hematoma. It has been 4 weeks now and I still have no feeling. While I put my faith in God for recovery the doctors are not optimistic on regaining function. After only a week in a rehabilitation facility near home, I have had to return back to Nashville for infection. We await results, MRI, and lumbar puncture to see the extent of the infection. We are believing for fast effective treatment and back to rehab to recovery. Would you please consider helping us with the additional expenses we will incur from medical bills, travel, and so many things in the future we will need? There are so many things I am sure we will need that we haven't even thought of yet.
