Hello everyone friends, family, and caring human beings. As in life, we have all experienced many different tragedies and unexpected changes that alter our lives in a minute and forever. Since March 2024 I unfortunately lost my employment due to my medical issues. Upon losing my job, a week later my uncle who was caring for my Grandmother and Mother died in a tragic accident. After his untimely death, my grandmother was forced to go into the same nursing home where my mother was residing in due to her Alzheimer's. Not even a week later upon my grandmother's placement she to passed on. Leaving my mother alone in the State of New York without anyone to care for her. I decided to pick up my mother as she is the only person I have left and with no one to care for her I picked her up. I did not have a plan I only wanted my mother close and safe. Taking care of an aging parent is very difficult it is known as the long goodbye when caring for a parent or loved one who suffers from this horrible disease. I enjoy her as much as possible and for as long as I can. In doing so I have neglected myself and my medical needs. As a result, on August 1st I unfortunately suffered an unexpected stroke. I am currently in the hospital with no means of being able to pay my bills or properly care for my mother's needs. I have been behind on all of my bills as well as my car payments. This is due to the slow nature in which the state moves to transfer my mother's medical insurance etc.. I have been receiving assistance from family and friends however everyone is currently experiencing financial difficulties. As a single person, I do not qualify for medical insurance or any cash assistance. Losing my vehicle would be devastating as well as my housing. I never imagined that I would be in this position but here I am. I am hoping that people will find it in their hearts to please help me with whatever is possible. I have faith in God that this storm shall pass and grant me the strength to get back on my feet and receive the proper medical care my mother needs as well as my medical care.
