Hello friends!! Thank you so much for checking out my LFEBridge page! As you can see, I will be going to Africa in January and would love your support. Here's some information about my trip: I will be traveling to Zambia, Africa with 3 other college students to work with African Vision of Hope. African Vision of Hope is a great Christian organization dedicated to bringing children out of poverty. Our main focus will be on the local schools funded by African Vision of Hope. One goal on our trip is to build Christ-centered relationships with young girls living at the local schools. We are being blessed with the opportunity to share the love of Christ to these young girls in hopes that they gain a better understanding of the Gospel and deepen their relationship with the Lord. Our second goal is such a rewarding opportunity for us as a group. We are given the chance to lead workshops for the teachers at the schools to provide them with basic knowledge on the degrees we are pursuing in college!! I am currently studying Social Work at the University of Missouri and I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to share the information I have been learning within the Social Work program. Social Work is all about helping others by providing resources and support to those in need. I currently volunteer at a shelter for abused and homeless children within Columbia, Missouri and I’m also a substitute teacher for the city of Columbia. The mission trip will be the similar to what I experience at the shelter and local schools. Everyday I have the opportunity to work with children and it brings me much joy. I have a strong desire to pour my life and soon-to-be career into the lives of children in hopes they develop the skills they need to be successful in life. This trip not only encompasses exactly what I want to do with my career but it also allows me to spend two weeks with the Lord and his beloved children. The cost for this trip is 2,850 dollars, which covers travel, food, and basic necessities in order to enter Africa. I would really appreciate donations and prayers as I prepare for this exciting journey. I will continuously update this feed with prayer request and my fundraising opportunities.
