My name is Mandy and I am raising funds for my brother-in-law Trevor Fyfe and his family. Trevor was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident on July 20th at 8:20 am. Trevor was on his way to work on his motorcycle when he was involved in a tragic accident that resulted in Trevor being airlifted to Victoria General Hospital. Trevor sustained life threatening injuries and his family was uncertain if he would survive. Trevor has yet to regain consciousness. He sustained a collapsed lung, broken ribs, his femur was broken in 2 places and it was a compound fracture. He broke his arm and every bone in his face was shattered. He has undergone surgery for his arm and femur. He had a 10 hour surgery on July 23rd to place metal plates in his face. He has a tracheotomy. As Trevor has not regained consciousness the outcome is unknown. Trevor is in for a very long difficult journey. The duration of the recovery is unknown but it will be a long process. His wife Sarah, who is an casual RN which means she is not eligible for wage recovery through her job. Sarah is staying down island to be close to Trevor as he recovers. Trevor and Sarah have 2 daughters who are their teens. Trevor is one of the kindest people I know and would help anyone in need. He has worked to help the mountain bike community build trails at Cook Creek. Trevor has many friends and many people know him from his selfless work in supporting the mountain bike community on the island. Trevor has been riding motorcycles for 30 + years and Sarah had just gotten her motorcycle license. Riding his motorcycle was one of his favourite things to do. Please help us help Trevor and his family. The money raised will help support Trevor and Sarah during his recovery.
