Five years ago we lost our independant transportaion. After searching high and low for 2 months to find anything affordable and possible for my back situation, my sweet green toyota was totaled in an accident and i still had to pay it off. I was not going to try that all over again. I was a bit shaken, so we rearranged our lives to the bus schedule and we started riding bikes. We are blessed to live on the TCAT line with bus service, the veiws from the 45 minute ride out and into the country side are beautiful, but the timing is limited and does not run at all on Sunday. The 7 mile ride into town is not bad but my back is not all ways up for biking and the ride home is all up hill. xo Our life was possible and enjoyable but quite limiting with evening activities and weekends. It was challenging to have to ask for help with laundry or errands or appointments. It was very good for me to enjoy all the kind people who have been there for me over the years. And although it is possible for me to ask for help any day, still it is in my nature to do it my self. So the tasks of laundry and grocerys daily and errands across town are really hard on my back. I have ruptured disks in my lumbar that i really need to heal up. I have been active in my chiropratic work in healing my body over the last few years. I take Mycena as well so that she can go into life well, and not struggle as i do. She feels so much better after each appt. but hates going, since the experience involes 3 hours of wating and transport for a 20 minute appt. "Just a little ridiculus", she says. So over the last month i have found myself wishing i had a car. Things were hard and each day there was something that would have been possilbe if we had a car. I must have been thinking loud enough beacuse the universe brought me a car. This car is just what we need. Its a 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid with a sunroof and a roof rack. Its been well cared for and offered to me with a wonderful caveot. If I can fundraise thru my loving friends and family and community, he will match $1 for $1 up to $2000 with the remaining $2000 to be paid in installments as necessary. My life needs this type of arraingment and so here i am asking of each of you to help me thru this life transformation with funding my car desires. There is a lot of life that just doesnt fit into a bus schedule and we would really like to get out to the woods more for photography and enjoy the lake and camping and friends. We have been enjoying the photographing of NYs nature for several years now and i am happy to say Mycena has caught the bug. We will send you a few choices and get a print out to you by the end of the year.So i ask of each of you a small contrubution twords my re entry into the car culture and aid in the transformation of our future. Stretching our territory and ablitities. I am removing all blocks to new life opportunities and welcoming all possibilities. I have held the same stable, bus route perfect job for 11 years now and am craving to use my brain a bit more and have more timing flexibitiy. Thrive, not just survive. My girl has graduated from middle school and has moved on up to the high school. It is time for me to move on in to a different pace of life, and i ask you to consider helping me take back my timing of a day and my peace of mind in case of emergency and supprt my struggling lumbar region . I turn 40 this January and am confidently trusting the universe to offer up wonderful opportunitys, abundace and joy in the years to come.I have been welcoming change to my life for months and will spend the next few cold months looking forward to seeing the amazing new growth in the spring. staying warm, feeling the love in my life.
