I got accepted into running the Tokyo Marathon next March for charity! My second of the six world major marathons! My goal is to raise $1050 (148000 YEN) for the Ronald McDonald House in Japan. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference! I appreciate your willingness to help and appreciate your generosity! The Ronald McDonald House's services are close to my heart. When I was eight years old, I suffered a tragic accident that resulted in 15 surgeries and countless procedures over the next 7 years. Luckily, we lived close to a renowned children's hospital in a major U.S. city and were able to drive to appointments and specialists. This is not always the case for so many families who need this vital assistance to provide emotional support that is desperately needed for the patients to make it through tough procedures. I would be honored to raise money and run to help other children and their families be together and have a better chance of overcoming their medical challenges. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) gives a family with a sick child what they need most — being close to their families. RMHC are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child. By creating a comforting, supportive and healing space for families, RMHC is able to help ease many day-to-day burdens so that parents can focus on what is most important — the well-being of their sick or injured child.
