Trying to help a friend and her husband offset the cost of gas and meals while traveling for pre-op screening, for liver transplant surgery, and allowing her to stay close to him for the required stay after his liver transplant surgery due to cancer of his liver. Here's a lil back story of what's going on. Doctors found cancer nodules on my friends husband's liver, did some workup in hopes that they caught It before it spread to other organs, thankfully they caught it. A dear friend of mines husband has to have a liver transplant due to cancer, unfortunately they require him to have multiple blood work appointments before hand. The cancer society there has given them a "gas allowence card" of a whopping $50 to get to his many required workup appointments. They figured out the mileage to and from for multiple trips for required pre surgical blood work and scans, if you've paid for gas lately you know how far $50 won't go. If I had the extra myself, I'd be happy to help them out myself, but unfortunately I don't. If any one could help out it even with a few dollars it would be greatly appreciated, every lil bit helps. This is a bit of the information I have regarding what is going on, I believe they originally found out about the cancer in I think February 2024 with having issues with his liver. The doctors did some test and thankfully as far as they can tell the cancer is currently just in the liver and hasn't spread, so the faster it can be removed the better his chances are of it not spreading. I wanna try to do a small go fund me for like 1000 by july the 15th to help with the needed gas money and food money, first they have to go from Texas to Arkansas to bring their dogs to their kids house. Now this is all to go to help out for gas to get them out there for his appointments for blood work and scans, and allow them to grab a quick bite to eat while running around basically to get all this done. He has three appointments for blood draws, pet scan, cat scan, MRI, and a colonoscopy for pre surgical screening. This is all due to the fact that He has liver cancer on top of having Cirosis of the liver which is why he needs the transplant because it's to dangerous to remove the cancer with having cirosis.
