Hello everyone.... This is Mandi, the oldest of 7 kids who are lucky to call Tim, Dad. Our dad was in a very bad work accident and has suffered multiple serious injuries and will be off work for some time. If you find it in your heart and if you have the means to do so, we ask that you help support him and our family on his long road of recovery. Here is the story. On the afternoon of August 1st, 2024, Tim and his son Travis were at work site near Flensburg, MN. They had been attempting to dig up a very large tree that the land owner had asked them to remove. While working together to remove this tree, in a turn of events, the tree landed on the cab of the excavator that Tim was operating, pinning him inside for a time. 911 was called and when fire and rescue was on scene he was extricated from the cab of the excavator. Based on the nature of his immediate injuries the EMS crew made the judgement to intubate him on scene. He was rushed to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN where the team there worked quickly to stabilize him while they called to get him accepted at a higher level of care facility. Once that was complete he was placed in an another ambulance en route to St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Department. Once in SCH ED the team there worked quickly to perform proper scans, tests, do labs and attach him to a ventilator. His identified injuries include: R) fractured scapula (shoulder blade), R) fractured ribs, R) pneumothorax (collapsed lung), L) fibular fracture, severe concussion and possible TBI. Because if the nature of his injuries his PCP is concerned for possible brain deficits that will only be identified as time progresses. There will be multiple other scans that will occur at a later date once he has been removed from the ventilator. Tim was born and raised on his family's dairy farm in Staples, MN. He is the 2nd oldest of 5 siblings. His big sister Tammy, followed by Christopher, Joseph and Daniel. He has been working his trade of logging and excavating for Enberg Logging for 30 years. He is the father to 7 children and Poppa to 18 grandchildren! His wife, Joanie, is an RN and serves some of the most underserved populations of people, working in group homes and with those affected by mental health problems. To add to this series of unfortunate events, the work accident insurance policy that Joanie had been paying on for both of them, expired the day before his accident. Joanie is also in between jobs so they have no income at this time. Tim will be out of work for quite some time and the road to complete healing will be a long one. If you are able to support Tim on his journey towards healing we are more than grateful for your help.
