My name is Debbi and, if you don't know me, I am Tim's daughter. I am creating and managing this profile on his behalf and that of my mom, Jan, and brother, Toby.We are raising money for my dad, Tim, to have a surgery that the doctors have said, "needs to happen as soon as possible." The surgery will be to remove a lipoma tumor that has been growing for two years. It has become a very painful problem for Tim. This past year it has grown to over 5 inches long and is now affecting his every day life, including just the ability to breathe or sleep. This is due to the fact that tumor is pushing against other organs such as his heart, lung, and pancreas. Recently, it slightly ruptured leaving him very ill for a couple of weeks. Luckily, his body was able to absorb the poison that time, but he may not be as lucky next time. Thus, the resaon the doctor has said it needs to be removed as soon as possible. The funds collected will be used to pay the medical bills for the surgery. Due to his lack of medical insurance and his financial situation, we were able to get a discount through the hospital's financial assistance program. However, to get this discount, it must be paid up front - before the surgery takes place. They have informed us that there may be additional costs following the surgery in the event that it takes longer than anticipated or they experience any other complications or surprises. The initial predicition is that he will be out of work for one week. So, we have included a small amount to cover the missed income he will incur during that week post-surgery.To see him get this surgery would mean that his pain would decrease and the quality of his life increase. It would change so many things really. He would never admit to anyone the pain, discomfort, and struggle he experiences on a daily basis. But, my mom, brother, and I know how much this surgery could change his life. If you would be willing to provide a donation in any amount, we would be incredibly thankful! Every donation, no matter how small, will get us one step closer to helping him find relief from this little "alien baby" (as he calls it) that is growing inside of him. We thank each of you for taking the time to read and consider if you could help in this situation. We appreciate all of your prayers and support!Tim, Jan, Debbi, and Toby
