Hi everyone. My name is Hannah and I’m Tim’s oldest daughter. On 6/29/23 my dad finally received a liver transplant. We were warned of what could happen during surgery however no one thinks that any of that will happen to them. The day of surgery they where unable to close his incision due to excessive “oozing” as the doctors said. They left him on the ventilator and packed him up overnight with drains and decided to close him up the next day. The excessive blood loss and fluid exchange he had caused extreme stress and took a great toll on his body. What we where expecting to be 7-10 day post op stay is turning into an unknown length of stay. With travel to and from St. Louis, hotel stays, nearly every meal being eaten from the Barnes cafeteria, and the endless parking we have to pay for the bills are adding up quick. Both my mother and I have used up all of our PTO and have only unpaid FMLA time left. We would appreciate anything that you can help with and thank you for your continued prayers and well wishes through this difficult time.
