Hello all my name is Hannah and I am the sister of Ten Ten and Inking Yu. Recently my niece, their daughter who is 14 has been hospitalized, following COVID complications. Tia has something called misC. misC is a rare complication of COVID in children, it is a multi-inflammatory state the body can go into. Our family resides in the Philippines, where the hospital systems are much different. Rather than getting treatment and being billed after and being allowed to make payments, billing is done daily. If patients do not have insurance, he/she has to pay a downpayment if admitted, if the down payment is not enough to cover the daily charges that accumulate, another deposit will be required, if not they stop treatment. This puts many people including our family in a predicament for needing treatment. Tia is in the ICU and is receiving multiple medications, lab draws, etc, which has added up beyond her family's means. We are asking if anyone can donate anything even a small amount towards Tia's care. We truly appreciate it. Even if you cannot donate please share. Update on Tia 7/12/23 She is in something called DIC. This causes clots in the body and uses up the body’s clotting factors. She’s requiring IV blood thinners. She’s also still requiring blood products. They attempted to wean her off oxygen today to a cannula but failed and she had to go back to a mask. She is also still fevering.
