Hi! I’m Amanda and I’m setting this up for my sister Colleen. Colleen was very recently diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. If you know anything about Colleen and her past medical history you know she is currently in remission for Crohn’s disease. 5 years ago, almost to the day Colleen had a bowel resection that nearly killed her. Thankfully, she is here to literally fight another time. While Colleen has an amazing support system we can only help her financially so much. We all still need to work and help her with her almost 9 year old son Owen Michael. Due to the treatments that have been prescribed Colleen will be out of work for the foreseeable future. This week and next week she will be driving to and from the hospital to get all of the testing done that is needed before she starts chemo on Friday July 14th. Once chemo starts it will be a long journey for Colleen and our family. Colleen, Nan, and Owen Michael will get through this again. The last time with crohns was “easier” because Owen Michael was very young but now he may not know what is going on but he will very shortly. Owen Michael is very empathetic, he may not know what’s going on but he knows something is wrong. As Colleen’s family and friends we want to ensure she has the best care and a comfortable recovery for everyone. Please, any help you can give to support our family is greatly appreciated! Anyone can reach out to me at any time. Thank you so much!
