The Race is On for the Alzheimer's CURE!"Where there is competition, there is Victory!" ---AristotleThis campaign is designed to raise money for the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation (www.alzCURE.org ), a trailblazing, history-making, public, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to dramatically accelerate the cure for Alzheimer's Disease. Their goal is to raise and award a $20 million dollar cash-prize, The Alzheimer's Prize, that will serve as the "Gold Medal" for the scientist(s) who discover the cure for Alzheimer's. This is a competition within the medical and scientific community, with the winner(s) being awarded the "Gold Medal", the $20 million dollar prize (or whatever amount has been raised towards that goal at the time of the discover).We are three seniors at Providence College who, for a senior project, will run a fundraising event in an attempt to raise money for a cause we believe in. All three of us have been touched by Alzheimer's Disease personally and decided to team up with this groundbreaking organization to do our part in eradicating sooner rather than later. Although we have set a goal to raise at least $10,000 towards the $20 million dollar cash-prize, we all hope that we will raise a lot more than that.All donations are greatly appreciated by the Providence College community, the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation, and those who are affected by the disease.Our campaign ends on December 18th, 2015. Let's make the best of it!!
