My name is Megan and I've started this LFEBridge for my cousin Keri. Life can be unfair but to some it can be downright cruel. In the face of continuous tragic and catastrophic loss and struggle Keri has continued to persevere and make the most out of life. Just this year she and Nick married and they're expecting a beautiful baby boy. Now, Keri is far too humble to ever directly ask for help but recently she made a post online that was heart-breaking so I'm imploring you to help this young family that is just trying to live a normal life. Any amount of help can make a huge difference for them! I've shared Keri's post below. UPDATE: After a few requests as to what her needs are, I am adding a link to her baby registry ❤️https://www.babylist.com/list/keri-walker UPDATE 7-28: We've got the internet back up and running so Keri and Nick are applying for jobs left and right - both the fridge and gas tank were EMPTY so they now have food and gas for getting to upcoming job interviews. The electric bill is scheduled to be paid but we're still a little short for getting rent covered which is due in just a couple of days. We've accomplished so much in just a short time and I'm stunned at the response from the community and even strangers who felt called to help. Keri and Nick have asked that I express their extreme gratitude to everyone involve in this outpouring of support! Even if you can't help financially please share so we can get this growing family back on their feet! "I usually keep my drama and life off of social media but being 7 months pregnant in the heat of Summer I am desperate and running out of time. I just want my baby boy to be safe and have a place to come home to when he's born. Due to my husband losing his job and being in between work, we aren't able to pay our bills this month. Because of that, our power gets shut off on the 1st and we get served an eviction notice after the 5th of August. We have been scrambling literally every day to try and find a solution and what we really need is a miracle. If it was just me I'd live in a cardboard box on the side of the road until I saved up enough money but with being pregnant I've got to look out for my baby boy. Any ideas, assistance or just someone to talk to is so appreciated I can't even express it. This momma is navigating breakdowns daily. I just want safety for us. I have contacted St Vincent's and Ninth District Opportunity already. They don't have the funds." From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!!!
