Hi, my name is Emily Wilson, I am a full-time mandolin player. Many of you know me from the Karasik Mandolin Project and Roadside Distraction. The Karasik mandolin is the January 5, 1923 Lloyd Loar signed Gibson F-5 mandolin #71839. I have been using it as my primary instrument for the past year and a half. The Karasik family needs to sell the mandolin and Lloyd Loar signed Gibsons are very valuable. We have had two appraisals done on the mandolin and have agreed its sale value is $107,500. I am looking to get $110,000 total to also cover fees. A common way to fund expensive instruments, that are beyond most professional player's financial means, in the violin family has been to form an LLC with investors. We are going to use this same method for the Karasik mandolin. There are two ways to support this project. The other way to support this project is to invest in the LLC itself for 10 years. At the end of 10 years, the mandolin will be reappraised and investors will get their funds back at the new appraised value. Shares for the mandolin will be $5000. If you are interested in contributing this way please send me an email. Thank you for your support.https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCY-V-_BFpCmZvv-7ZxLA23A?app=desktopno
