Udpate from family: Update on Weston: This shows you right here how quick your life can turn upside down! Yesterday was the scariest day of my life and my families what we thought was a nice stroll around the neighborhood quickly turned into a nightmare! Weston got slung off the golf cart I rushed over to him an instantly knew he had a concussion we go straight to Baptist East he had what called a Subdural hematoma and fractured skull they do more scans and get ready to move him to childrens which took hours and hours cause they didn’t have a flight crew I started to notice some swelling in his temple area and was told that’s normal swelling! the ambulance from childrens finally came to pick him up before they left they looked him over and talked with the doctors here at childrens they order another scan which showed the bleeding was worse and had formed a clot so then they scramble to find a helicopter to life flight him to childrens quicker because now this is serious well this also felt like it took hours when he finally makes to childrens by the time he gets here he needs emergency surgery they had to cut a piece of his skull out clean it out and put it back and stitch and staple it! Nothing and I mean Absolutely nothing prepares you to walk in and see your child like this hooked up to a breathing machine that’s breathing for him sedated! We are home now he has 21 staples in his head and a whole lot of other bumps,scraps, bruises covering his body! But we are just so thankful he is still here with us! ❤️❤️ Hello- thank you for your time in looking into this cause. Our friends, Jonathan and Hailey Haynes, are currently tending to their son, Weston after a scary golf cart accident. Weston is currently being treated in Birmingham.
