Hello, I am Alyssa Tejeda and I have created this LFEBridge on behalf of my sister-in-law, Cande Tejeda Godoy, and her family whom are facing hardship with a loss of income as she has been battling breast cancer. We are thankful for your time and any donation is much appreciated. Below was written on behalf of my goddaughter, Cande’s daughter: “My mom, Cande Tejeda Godoy, for several months now has been fighting a battle against breast cancer. It all started back in March, when she started to experience severe pain that made her weak. At first doctors had given us the news that it was not cancer. However just a couple of weeks later was when we received the devastating information that she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. It had turned out that the pain she experienced in March was only the beginning of her battle that was rapidly growing. As days went by it progressively got harder. I remember in the moment, after my mom told me the news my heart dropped. Regardless of how I felt, I knew deep down that she would overcome this battle. God gives his strongest soldiers the toughest battles to overcome and I believe my mom is one of them. Taking things day by day, having much faith and hope keeps us going. Following another visit to the doctors she was told she would start chemotherapy soon and that she would not be able to work for at least a year and a half. I know for a fact that with everything going on she and our family have been stressing about not exactly being financially stable at the moment. Life today can be quite challenging for anyone. On a daily basis without a doubt everyone experiences a time of struggle. This is our time of struggle. A big thank you to those who have supported us so far.
