Hi, my name is Alexis and myself along with other members of the Ringgold and Donora community are raising money to help the Davis family during Aundriea’s extensive recovery. Aundriea and Bryan have five children at home to care for. Aundriea was admitted to the hospital immediately on 6/16 following over a year of many visits and misdiagnosis. She went in for a cerebral fistula. There were two unsuccessful procedures done. The third which was a craniotomy was successful but she suffered an Ischemic stroke. These are caused by blockage of an artery (or, in rare instances, a vein). About 87% of all strokes are ischemic. She spent close to two weeks in the ICU before she woke up; she’s also battling hospital delirium which is delayed her from being fully conscious. She was on a ventilator or trach until recently. Aundriea and her family have a long road of recovery ahead. She still has weeks at the hospital and complications continue to arise. She will eventually be moved to inpatient rehab and have extensive rehab on her left side and speech. Bryan visits everyday after work and is now handling all the bills for the family and extra activities. With school approaching and sport and cheer fees coming up along with other household expenses please give whatever you can. Any little bit helps Aundriea long time employed by UPMC and her income was extremely important to the home. This family has the biggest hearts and can use our help right now!
