Thank you to everyone who has expressed their support for Raymond, Sarah and children. If you weren’t made aware yet, Raymond left us on August 25, 2024. His absence is palpable after so many years together so please continue to send your positive energy to Sarah during this time of transition. ❤️  Friends and Family, As many of you know, our dear friend, husband, father, breadwinner, high-energy, determined Raymond has been battling high grade anaplastic astrocytoma. His brain cancer has rendered him immobile after almost four years of working with the best treatments and MDs available at Stanford and UCSF hospitals. The number of Raymond’s remaining moments with us is unknown, but he would love to hear from anyone wanting to connect – those memories and supportive ties are pivotal to his quality of life. He has difficulty holding his phone so all messages will be read to him. Please share your memories and support, via text to: 1-541-502-2525. Fundraising Goal With Ray unable to work, financial burdens have posed many challenges for the family. Anticipating this, they recently relocated to Bend, OR with their 3 children and 3 dogs. Sarah, with her incredible physical strength and emotional resilience, has begun working after many years out of the work force to assist with benefits and to meet the bare minimum for monthly expenses. This has been grueling for everyone concerned and hospice bills alone, are anticipated to reach 30k-50k. Donations will also go towards an end-of-life celebration that is currently scheduled for Ray’s next birthday (May 11, 2024) in Carmel, CA. Married for 22 years, Ray and Sarah have bonded through life’s many challenges which have been coupled with moments of pure joy. I’ve asked Sarah to describe Ray, and it was clear, that his biggest strength was his ability to embrace each moment to its absolute capacity, sometimes even beyond! This innate ability to feel so deeply has led to brilliant ideas that seem to come from nowhere, yet solve for the need, wants and desires of the masses. Ray is fed by the energy of his children and family and would opt to be with them at all moments of every day. Simply put, “Ray gets shit done!” With respect to Sarah and Ray’s privacy, routine updates will be posted to this site so all of you can follow Ray’s health journey… In Sarah's words, “Much love to you all. Life is short, find the light in the darkness and fill your heart with positivity and love as much as possible! One breath. One step.”
